Any one here using a navian? I have a 240/130 model. I just installed and only using DWH currently heat side is capped off after air separator and expansion tank. My system is filled to 16psi at idle and once internal pump starts it jumps to 25psi. Is that normal? I do have a large expansion tank 60# that is due to future heat demand.

It's not a 60 gallon tank it's #60 extrol expansion tank. Smaller systems use #30. Pump isn't going to dead head it has a primary loop manifold. When DHW calls for heat it circulates boiler heat side of water through a heat exchanger that has your DHW on the other side. I'm just checking to make sure my psi is okay I'm not sure what the typical change in psi when running

Circulators don't produce much of a pressure drop. Most heat exchangers design is 20° temperature difference (td) in and out water temp. If flow high low td opposite for low flow. System water pressure 10 lbs water or lower 100° =23.1' height good for a one story house. Some condensing boilers have a minimum pressure which is higher stated in the install manual. Ex tank with water temp under 100° pumps off air charge same as water pressure.
