I would like to see it. I bet it's a monster. It's 3 phase, so that should help with the power demand. I have very little experience with 3 phase, but the few 3 phase machines I have used ran smooth as silk.

If your looking at around 20-25cfm you might be better off with a rotary vane compressor. No waiting for the pressure to build up and no air tank to fill. Switch it on and within 10 seconds you have 25cfm at 110psi all day every day.

Awesome machines

What did you use it for and how much cfm did it put out? Wow.

heavy truck repair. not sure on the CFM. it dimmed the light when it cycled even with 3 phase power. someone got it for a steal when our company filed for bankruptcy.

They'll never sell that for $1700 - they'll be lucky to get $500 for it. You can buy used 3 phase compressors for near scrap value.

Most businesses that depend on air can't afford to bet on used equipment - unless it's just a backup. A 25hp compressor is too big for even most small shops, and has probably been used hard by its first owner. So anybody actively in business will pass.

That leaves it to DIY shops - which can't use something that big.

That one has new paint, but doesn't say anything about being rebuilt. Maybe somebody will bite, but I bet you'll see it sell for 1/2 what they are asking or less.

Would think something like this would be more practical for DIY with a need for lots of air:

That's a Quincy 5120. About 80 CFM. It's actually two QR 350's on the same crank. A beautiful machine and easily overhauled.

When the 20 HP IR at my shop eventually dies ill replace the pump with one of those. The IR ***** by comparison but ill use it till it fails - since they tend to fail catastrophically and not be feasible to rebuild the 5120 is the ticket.
