my father in law gave me this this morning.
I cant find any name or stamp on it.
looks like it was made for real use(not just a paperweight).
jewelers anvil? I don't know.
I will use it.
maybe strip and paint it.
anyone know anything about it or have or seen one like it?

The design is called a bridge anvil. Used in the oil fields to repoint cable tools. Also used in railroad shops. The thing is though, they are huge!
Wonder if you might have a salesman’s sample?

Not like any bridge anvil I've seen. Also don't think it's a salesman's sample.

it came to me this morning...what the hole is for....
maybe it had a clock in it.
the anvil clock could have been for a desk or mantle.

I still dont know but this is my best guess so far.
