The loose sockets in the middle are a mix of chinese/taiwan/japan. One ratchet is stamped Japan and the other is either Taiwan or China, poor fit/finish on it. The open end wrench is an Indian made Gedore 12 & 13MM. There's a loose midget 15/64 & 1/4 combination wrench that's US made, but I can't read the manufacturer stamping on it. the 12pt sockets are Craftsman, with one Action brand and one MAC and the deep socket is a 10MM Snap-On. The 1/4" drive sockets on the rail are all Craftsman and so is the rail. Kinda bummed the Craftsman midget wrench set is missing one wrench, but oh well. The box itself is in really good shape. A couple of small rust spots here and there, but otherwise it's looking quite good.

I've been clearing stuff out in preparation of tearing out the old workbench and getting it's replacement in. Found the tool box in the wall mounted cabinets that are going to be torn out as well. No idea how long it's been there. Just when I think I'm done finding all my dad's tools, I come across more stuff.

So some junk mixed in with some good old USA Craftsman looks like. Nice that you found your Dad's tools; keep them and take care of them as you will appreciate them more later in life. Its a link to your dad and working with his hands. (I wish I had kept my dad's old carry around tool boxes...)

The most interesting bits in the pics to me is the double box end ignition wrench set. I can't recall seeing those before. I have double open and combinations but that was a new one on me...

Yeah the double boxes seem to be hard to come by. There's one set on ebay, but those don't have individual model numbers on them like mine do and then everything else is combination wrenches. Can't find anything at all on Sears's website about them, which isn't too surprising. As far as keeping my dad's tools, I'd say about 90% of my tools are actually his. I have stuff of his that I'll probably never use, but I'm going to hang onto anyway. Never know when it might come in handy.

So which Craftsman midget wrench is missing? Someone here may be able to hook you up.

The 5/16 x 11/32 is missing. It might be in one of the chests in the garage as I recall seeing a couple midget wrenches in there. If not I'll put up a wanted post and see what I can find.

Agreed, I try and scarf those old ones up when I seem them at yard sales and such, back when tools were made in america and men didnt wear pink polos!

Any idea on how old the box is? I'm guessing at least 20 years old.
