Neat old body tool

Picked up this old Body Mate by the S+H company from Cleveland Ohio.
I think is a stretcher? was a bit bound up but some WD40 and a couple of wacks with the hammer and it works like a charm. $2!

It is a fricktion jack. You use it to push with. You may be able to turn the head of it around on the rod to push the opposite way.

I`m going to find a longer pole for this for the longer jobs i`ve always wanted one of these but all the new ones are made in china.

Neat! Can you describe a specific application where this would be used?

for pushing panels applying pressure. I`m sure theres a few pros that could decribe it`s function better.

Applications...same as Porta-Power, within the limits of available hooks and ends. Push bent stuff back towards home.

They are great for straightening out core supports and engine bays in general, also good for the tail/ trunk area.
