I have a friend with a small machine shop that has one of those. He finds it quite handy. It has the power to use heavy feeds, and the big table is convenient. Sometimes he wishes it had a slower speed, but then it sits next to his big radial drill!

NO NO no more there i've said it.

Every time i hit Portland i spend $200/$250 there.
Now if you go to Portland the ugly scenery makes you loose you appetite.

I have one of those radial drills. Mine is an earlier one built by Walker-Turner. It was continued in later years by Delta. Great if you have a work piece requiring a number of holes. Large table makes clamping easy.

Another vote for Edelweiss. My wife and I usually stop there for lunch when we're in that area (tables now closed due to covid19). Also great German patatoe salad and huge beer selection.
