I'm guessing it was a kit box for a kit with a lot of little pieces and not so much meant as a general tool box.

looks like for 3/8" and 1/2" deep and shallow sockets, probably a specialty impact set or something.

I like how it has the socket rails integrated into the box. I'm with the others that it was a complete set of tools you bought, and not an empty toolbox when new. IMO that price is rediculous. I see two tier SO boxes of the same vintage on CL go for that price.

I've got one of those, got it absolutely chock full of Snap-on carb tools and a few little trans tools and things like that, all with the classic "Not Guar." logo of the CS tools...
I love carb and ignition widgets...I do not remember what I paid because my brain has paved over the trauma. It was a lot, but probably a lot less than the thing is worth now.
