Need a 16 gauge nailer for casing & baseboard

Nailer recommendations.

I'm looking for a 16 gauge air nailer for casing & baseboard work. I don't need top of the line but something that is a decent nailer at a fair price.

What does everyone recommend?

Just got my first 15g (angle type), Rigid from HD. It comes with 3yr warranty. Don't have a lot of experience on it but if you're on a budget and need something outside of HF stuff, it's a good choice.

I trimmed my entire house with a box store porter cable. never missed a beat. that was 20 yrs. ago and I still use it in the shop for the occasional quick cabinet build.

Hitachi, makita, and paslode are all good.

Never had anything but problems with bostitch I've owned roofing, framing, and trim guns in that brand and they all were prone to misfires and jams. Haven't used any of the newer offerings and really have no desire to give anymore money to bostitch.

Porter cable makes a pretty good gun for the money.

Bostich is good and reliable, but you have to keep them oiled. Not only the air, but the mechanisms. The factory grease inside them solidifies after a few years and regular oiling with air tool oil should dissolve that. The trigger valves on Bostich products fail every 5 years or so, but are $25 and easy to replace.
I bought a Coleman air stapler and it jams now and then. OK for homeowner use.

if you're using a heavy base & casing, 16 is fine, if not, I would look at 18g as they leave a smaller scar.
I have a boststich 16g angle straight. like them both .

I've switched from 15ga to 18ga and love it. Hitachi regularly goes on sale for <$30 for a reconditioned one via Big Sky Tool.

The newer 18 gauge nailers can shoot a 2" nail and as others pointed out, they leave a smaller hole
