are you talking about pop rivets or standard rivets? if youre talking about standard rivets, you just need an impact gun with a standard quick change. i bought my rivet set from a company that sells aircraft tools, they are very high quality and i havent had any issues. the price was good too.

the company is ATS(aircraft tool supply co.) website www.aircraft-tool.com

they sell the rivet guns(impact gun) i was talking about earlier if you do not have one. they also sell an air powered pop rivet gun. you will need some clecos and the cleco pliers too. if you wanted to spend more money and have a full sell of fabrication rivet tools, they also sell a master set with everything you could ever need.

heres a video that will teach you some things too.

For pop rivets I hope you have deep pockets and a decent air compressor!

If you are looking for a manual riveter, you might like the PS40:

It's child's play for normal sized rivets and can handle larger 1/4" rivets, which a hand-sized riveter can't deal with.

I have a HF air/hydraulic unit that was very inexpensive. It took 20-30 cycles to break in, but I love the thing! They have it now at $35.

I do a LOT of solid rivet work and I really like the (used) Cleco 4x guns (about $125 used on eBay)...

Of course, if your rivets are near the edge, a Chicago Pneumatic rivet squeezer is the answer (about $350 used on eBay--as much as $3500 brand new). This has a fabulous trigger (I can consistently get as few as 2 hits at a time with this gun). This is an 'almost-like-magic' tool, once you get it set up for the rivets you are setting...

I get all my riveting tooling/accessories from Brown Tool Company (they have US-made options for many of their offerings)

I get all my rivets from Aircraft Spruce (really fast shipping)

Make sure you also get yourself a rivet cutter ($40). This is another 'almost-like-magic' tool...

And a rivet fan (if you lay out your own holes)...
