need a 2ft x 2ft powered conveyor

Hey Guys,

I just bought this sander

we sand lots (15000) small pieces of wood per day (roughly 5/8" x 4" x 3/8" thick)

I need a small converyor to put in front of it to lay the parts out on.

The closest thing i found was a 12" wide x 3ft long conveyor at grainger for 6 grand... im better off buying another machine and using it for the cvonveyopr at that point.

I'm also thinking a very smooth infeed table at an incline so the parts slide down to the conveyor

any other ideas?

Any conveyor is going to be in the thousands unless you can find a used one at an auction. But most companies that shut down just scrap them. You could make your own, they are pretty simple. A roller on each end that you can adjust for tracking, a couple rollers below with a spring setup for tension, a motor with a gearbox reduction and a metal frame. But this will still be probably around a grand and some of your time. If that isn't an option then I would just go with a table like you said and use an UHMW sheet as the top. Maybe make a few tracks or rows so all the pieces stay lined up. Then just feed them in and a slight incline should let them flow nice. If not then put a small ******** on the bottom of it.
