Need a bag for a Milwaukee crown stapler

I recently bought a Milwaukee 2749 narrow crown stapler to add to my existing collection of M18 cordless tools. That stapler doesn't come with any sort of case, and I'd like to get one for it. I'm not even picky about the color (spray paint FTW). Can anybody recommend a case (preferably soft-sided) that might work?

The Milwauke stapler, without a battery, but with the belt clip I added, is about 12x10.5x4.25" and quite rectangular. I'll need a little extra space for a small battery and some packs of staples. I want a case that's not too much bigger than that so it doesn't take up unnecessary space on my shelf. It doesn't need to be padded.

My Ridgid pneumatic finish nailer has a wonderful, soft-sided case that's just the right size, but I can't find any way to purchase just that bag. Ridgid's own online store is full of broken links.

Any ideas where I can get a good case for it?

Millwaukee makes quite an assortment of bags. Also that stapler in some kits included a bag. Perhaps a call to Milwaukee would help. They might be able to give you the part number of the bag.

The p/n for the bag that came in the kit for that stapler is 42-55-6150. Did a quick search & didn't see anyone selling that exact bag. Can probably be ordered as a replacement part but that means it probably won't be cheap.

If you don't care about what the bag looks like, I would just go to HD & look for a suitable Husky tool bag or even HF. Or you can order Milwaukee bags on Amazon or Ebay, they run $20-$40.

I chatted with Home Depot's online customer service today, and the pointed me to the manufacturer's web site where you can order any of their replacement parts, including the spiffy bags for all their Ridgid nail guns. Part number 903209082 seems to belong to their pneumatic finish nailer. The bags are reasonably inexpensive, but there's a $12.50 shipping charge. :-(

I'm not wild about tool bags, you cant stack them. Then you have to hold the sides open and scoop the **** around the bottom to find what your looking for. Other issue I have is with Milwaukee plastic boxes. It would be nice if they had a place to put accesories , ie a drill bit index or even a cubby hole for loose driver bits . Grab it and go. The old 18 volt dewalt nicad drill boxes were good and had extra room. Then another issue with buying kits. Milwakees drill and driver come in the same box. Occasionally but very seldom i will need them both working on rooftop mechanical equipment but i don't want to drag both around all the time. Those boxes are useless in the field. Same with their impact, if they had a place for a few sockets it would be nice.

This came up in the deals section Black Friday at Ace Hardware(available now) https://www.acehardware.com/departments/tools/tools-storage-and-organization/tool-bags/2295830

Nice! I had been leaning toward getting one of those rectangular Ridgid nailer bags & painting the orange parts red, mostly because it's a better shape and will pack away more easily alongside my other tools. However, that would cost $31 with shipping. This bag is hard to pass up for only $6, and it's already red.

You're not wrong about any of those points. My Milwaukee hard case from my drill/driver had a space to store the charger, and that gap is where I usually put my ziplock bag of bits when I'm traveling.

That's why I love the Ridgid nailer case so much. My finish nailer's case is rectangular and soft-sided, but with heavy padding, making it semi-rigid (pun intended), so it stacks easily. It's big enough for the tool plus homeowner quantities of various nail sizes. It's really a perfect design for gun-shaped tools. I just wish it wasn't so expensive to get a bare case.

Ace also has the Craftsman 2 bag set on sale for $9.99. The two bags are 18” and 13”. The 13” bag is the same as the one you listed above.

TBH, I believe the Husky bags are a heavier material than the current Craftsman bags. One of my older Craftsman bags ripped out the side panel when I carried some of my M12 drill, driver and charger in it.

The equivalent Husky bag costs $20. It fits my staple gun just fine (I tried it out in person), but all these general purpose bags take up a bigger footprint on the shelf than the Ridgid bag would. And, despite being heavy material, the GP bags are still not at all padded.

I took my staple gun to Ace today to try on the Craftsman 13" bag. Alas, it's not tall enough to fit my staple gun. I think I'll bite the bullet & get the Ridgid rectangular case. Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone.
