They also make a smaller version(either bon tool or marshallton)48" i think ,that has a 90 degree on the opposite end.
This is my go to bar anymore, still love my full size burke, but this is alot lighter.

Any of those will help but if you have an sds max get a floor scraper for it. There's a bunch of different ones but they will do the bulk of the removal.
Never used SDS max but I think my air hammer with a 4" chisel would likely work faster because the air hammer is a lot lighter and smaller in hand.
Of course, that also means running a long air hose...

I think the handle style of an air hammer would make it miserable to use

The plot thickens... Dun dun dun. Interesting that they have different coo for different size bars

I'm curious to see if the heads are different when I can put them side by side this weekend

I'm hoping to not derail this conversation, but I'm very interested in your impressions of the Vevor Demo hammer.

No worries on the derail.

I'll think I'll have a chance to run it this weekend.

Initial impressions are that it's decently heavy and the case is a *************. I plugged it in and, like an absolute *******, chipped my nice garage floor. I even looked at a 2x4 and thought testing on that would be smarter. As it turns out, it would have been

And this is why WE don't have nice things. The joy of the new tool brings out the Tim Taylor in us, and common sense steps aside for a few minutes.

When I fixed my GS find rotohammer some years back, I finally settled on a 2x6, rather than porch, driveway, garage floor, tho the garage floor would have been the least noticable.

Used it today.

Took about 30 seconds to get from this

Not a major test, but it did the work I needed quickly.

Another minute of hammering and this is where I left it for today. Hoping to wrap it up tomorrow.
For a buck and a half, I'm happy enough so far

Make your own out of a Toyota 4runner leaf spring, a 1x2" tube and a forge:

Job's basically done. The demo hammer and smaller gutster bar both came in clutch. The 30" bar is the perfect size for going stuff while kneeling. Few more pieces to remove then to framing it back in. Also need to reroute a propane line for the new insert. The rest of the block will likely be broken up with my Sds-plus hammer

Couple other pics made possible by the gutster bars. 1 working day from installed hardwood to swept up. Now I need to pull a million Staples and patch some soft subfloor1000004469.jpg1000004470.jpg

That is a lot of work! What are the plans for the new space updates?
Yeah, it's been a lot, but I like this stuff and it's helped give a clear picture to the contractor doing most of the rebuild.

Full replumb, new kitchen, maple flooring through the first floor, enlarging doorways, new master bath, new lighting throughout. I'm not pulling down drywall in the rooms that we don't need to get in the walls, but otherwise, nearly a full reno.

I started another thread to get specific suggestions on the fireplace

Bumping for more love on the gutsters and vevor jackhammer.

The small gutster is the cat's *** for tile and drywall. Most of that floor was tile this morning, including a 1"+ concrete bed

In process... Didn't catch a Pic when I stopped for the day

And the final, for now. Drywall still needs to come out. The old shower cave will become the water closet with a pocket door

Not necessarily what you would be looking for but another recommendation if you've got plans for any deck remodeling is the Duckbill Deck Wrecker. Short work for pulling up old decking. Just used it to replace a couple rotted boards (yeah, I know the rest of the deck isn't far behind lol). Works great. The Stanley in front works good too.

For pulling decking this is way better than the Gutster. The levers sit under board and rest on the joist just pull the handle and board pops right up. Nails are obviously easier than screws and screws should be removed in advance if possible but this will pull the board straight through screw heads if the screw doesn't pull out of the joist. The head reverses so you can stand on decking or come in from open joists. I pulled up a 550 sq ft deck in about 1-1/2 hrs by myself it paid for itself.

But you don't have the 60" gutster... Just saying...

Latest effort utilizing the small gutster.

Its a wild *** guess based on feel and trailer ride height, but I'd say I hauled at least 2k lbs out of this bathroom today and another 1k or more on the first trip for the floor
