I am needing to buy a compression tester set for work. really dont want to buy one from snap on.
Looked at the ones from advance auto parts, can you guys recommend some good places to buy one?
I bought one from a parts store, it works and didn't cost much. I have a premium set too,,, if I was using it daily would be different than occasionally, I actually use the simple cheap one.
I used one in a VW dealership in 1964. I'd stick a long screwdriver in the ignition key to keep it cranking and do all 4 cylinders one after the other. It was a great way to sell valve jobs because you could show the card to the customer.

What is wrong with Snap On? Sometimes it pays to buy a higher quality tool....and this is one of them. My Snappy compression tester is 45+ years old and still accurate. How good will your advance be after even 15-20 years?
