I would go with the SK sockets. If I broke the ratchet and did not like the ratchet, I would replace the ratchet with Snap-on.

I have Snap-on tools but if I saw some nice SK tools, I would give them a shot. I wish they were more commonly available.

I'd tell you about the SK warranty experience but I've only had to replace a 3/8 square on a 3870 from use of a 3' cheater. (it took 750lbs to break it is what I'm telling you.) At the time I had a local tool place that warrantied it. So I am not too concerned about easy peasy local warranty for SK stuff myself.

I could appreciate a redesigned box that made the sockets slightly easier to pull out. Other than that, not much I'd change about the 47? piece 3/8" set and 4? piece 1/4" set I've had for ~15 years.

No experience with Gearwrench.
