Need a good BYB phone number

I bought this BYB at a Goodguys show in Scottsdale around 1998 or 1999 for $1800 and change. Pushed the up button and the cable on the right rear post broke instantly! I can push the Model A off the ramps and use the bucket on my tractor to lift the ramps so I can replace the cable(s). I can’t complain after getting 26 or 27 years of service! The phone number on the sticker is no longer in service. Thanks in advance for your input.

Here's how you raise a lift with a broken cable. If you don't know what BYB stands for, you won't have anything to contribute to the thread. Talked to a parts guy at Advantage and it appears that they do have cables, pully's and shafts that will still work on an old BYB.

I'm familiar with BackYard Buddy as my dad has had one for many years, but it isn't at the forefront of my daily thought process as an acronym and didn't know WTF you were asking about.

I had good customer service when I bought mine a few years ago, well after the ownership change. Mever heard anything negative on this site, and their name comes up frequently.

Sent 4 emails with photos and every one bounced back. Website has far to many "under construction" tags Will call again this morning for the 5th time.

When I called them a couple of times they picked up the phone.

Same when I emailed them with questions. Had answers the next morning.

The cylinder on my air-over-hydralic jack leaked badly while under warranty, they replaced it (it was a ***** to change), have had 2 cable pulleys take a ****, at my cost. The pump on the same jack started spitting oil about a year after the warranty expired, at the same time I noticed that the front and rear lifting cables were fraying. Again told too bad so sad new ones are X dollars. Not a mention of a little leeway. All on a 9K four post lift that goes up and down maybe 4 times a month.

At least the electric motor didn’t die just past the warranty period like the one on my BendPak did.

Motor isn’t sold separately. I bought an SPX powerpack complete from someone else rather than take a chance on another Chinese one from BendPak. It was cheaper, too, and bolted right up.
