While at Harbor Freight picking up a magnetic paper towel holder for my Pigmat roll, I walked around seeing what **** people were buying. I happened upon the Mityvac model MV8500 Silverline Elite automotive kit. This is a great kit with the metal pump that can be switched from vacuum to pressure and lots of accessories. Now here's the interesting part, Harbor Freight is selling these in my local store as item 39522 for $39.99. If you look that number up at HF's website, it's for the kit with the plastic pump. I used one of those 20% off coupons that seem to be in many magazines and now come with the weekly adds in the mail too, that dropped the price $8.00 to $31.99. I couldn't resist. The silverline kit goes from $54.95 at tooltopia, to $60.25 at the toolwarehouse, to a rediculous $89.95 at Sears.
Although vacuum devices on many cars have gone the way of the dodo bird, it's still a nice kit to have at a pretty good price. Get one now before they realize their mistake.

Would that work for sucking out the power steering or brake fluid? I hate doing power steering jobs cause they are so messy.

That's a great price for the elite kit.
That also does pressure and vacumn by switching a valve.

Anyone needing one should jump on that deal.

I use a five gallon bucket with a hole in the lid for a shop vac hose and a tube coming out to attach to brake calipers or pwr steering. No pumping just turn on the shop vac and finish your beer while you wait. Then dump the bucket in your used oil collector.

Are they in Mityvac packaging? My HF only has the Pittsburgh models. I will go back tomorrow and look again.
