Need a heater recommendation for Christmas gift

Ok my ideas for Christmas for my Mom have fallen though, so I think this would be very useful for her. First thing is that since it is close to Christmas, I have to be able to get it locally. I live in the city so most places like lowes, home depot, sears, menards, etc are available. My parents have recently finished a 3 car detatched garage and mom would like to be able to work out there in the winter. The front half of the garage is finished and insulated, with a work bench in one corner. Can anyone give me a recommendation?

If you go electric, the round disc infrared heaters have no moving parts and heat people and objects vs the air so work well at keeping you warm in an area too big to heat. The quartz would do similar, but I like the parabolic dish infrared.

Do you have a link to something like this? Propane is probably not really an option. They have to travel quite a ways to get it. Plus I think Mom would be more comfortable with electric.
