Hello all me and a few friends share my microscan pro for our personal vehicles which is around 30 of them well now I am looking for something a little better. Almost all domestic with a few Asian and all obd2. What's the first tool I can get into with bi directional capabilities and the ability to graph ignition voltage to see random misfires when no code is set. Hopefully 1k price or close and would rather not have laptop based so that I don't need to purchase that as well thanks

Could prolly find a used Solus Pro for that much...my Snappy guy has one right now actually...only downfall is that you have to use the chips...

Solus or solus pro is ypur best bet. But since the new modis ultra came out. The old modis has decreased in value. Ive seen them on my snap-on guys truck for around $1000. A modis will do everything you want.

I second the notion of picking up a second hand MODIS. excellent scan tool and a quality 4ch scope, with component specific testing, and easier to use than the OTC. I loath the Genysis  If its free to use, thats fine. I would never purchase it over the MODIS
