When I moved in 9 years ago, I painted my floor with with your basic Home Depot concrete floor paint. So far, I have no lifting or pealing - just grime and oil stains. Now it's time for a new look. What can I apply over what I have and what kind of prep work will I need to do???

I actually do work in my garage so as much as I'd like it to look like a showroom, I don't think tile or a race deck type floor will stand up to floor jacks and dropped parts or tools.

Any ideas???

If your floor is holding up well and not peeling or delaminating, then just sand it with a 36 grit, use a damp xylene rag to wipe it down and coat with your favorite epoxy system.

If paint held up that well, why not just throw down another coat?

What brand paint BTW? (looking to do the same)
