I have to say milwaukee lights are real good, they take a beating. I keep a few of the lantern ones around, very handy and meant for construction.

Agreed. In a power outage, last thing I want to be doing is toggling through a couple dozen "modes". On - brightness - off. Boom, done.
The Braun has a pretty simple interface. (low/med/high/off). There are additional modes but you don't need to use them and it's unlikely you'll accidently get into them.

I have a couple of Milwaukee M18 work lights that work great for power outages. I also have the Streamlight Siege which is great, but it does use D-cell batteries. Buster21 mentioned that he has one and keeps "lithium" batteries in his. Is there a D-cell lithium battery available ???

Clyde, you have Milwaukee battery stuff.

It's not a lantern but I bought a LED flood/work light down at Amish country last summer. It works off either a Milwaukee or Dewalt battery.

Great for shop work and home use if the power goes out.
