I'm an industrial mechanic and I'm currently using this tool pouch as my carry all. It's big enough but the quality is poor and several of the pouches have already ripped off. It's now quite a year old.

Who makes quality tool pouches like this? It's maybe 1'² in size with a carry handle and shoulder strap. Thoughts?

That's similar to a Husky one from HD that I use for my electrical stuff. I have a full basement and have done plenty of rewiring and adding network, electrical, and cable since I moved in a few years ago. So while my bag doesn't get used as hard as an industrial setting it gets used more than the typical homeowner usage. If I didn't use it as much, the weight would be annoying as the empty tote is pretty heavy with the full rubber bottom or whatever it is on there. but it's sturdy and doesn't tip over.

I only carry it by the handle, never need to use the shoulder strap. I've seen it fall from counter height and from the top of stairs. When it fell from the counter nothing was displaced. When it fell down the stairs 3 screwdrivers fell out and a few small things out of one of the side pockets. Still looks pretty close to new after all that but more importantly stuff stayed where it was for the most part.

There are nicer ones and I'd like one but I couldn't justify it. At least look at the Husky ones though as that one says Matco(?) and from that small photo doesn't look as good as the Husky line.

I have a Veto bag, and yes, they're exceptional. Even still, I'll second the recommendation on the Husky bags. I used this professionally and loved it. I only went with Veto because I needed a larger bag, and it was a splurge I wanted to treat myself to. If you do feel like spending the money, the Veto bags are a joy to use.

I'm considering Husky but I kinda want something... Nice. I just downloaded the Veto catalogue and I'll dig through it tonight.

I've had great luck with the Husky bags from HD. I've had one particular bag for 4 years now that I keep in my truck tool box that is filled with sharp, pointy, hard carpentry tools like hammers, pry bars, sheetrock saws, screwdrivers, etc etc and though it has some minor abrasions on the outside, it is still holding up quite well. Alternatively you can give this a shot. I found it on Amazon Warehouse yesterday. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014TDFQP2/?tag=atomicindus08-20

The one I have at work now is made by CLC and works really well. Most of the other guys I work with (in maintenance at a hospital) carry Husky bags/pouches.

If you like the style of your current bag but want something more durable, Ideal and Occidental both make leather bags similar to your current bag.

I also recommend Veto Pro Pac. I have had several of their bags for nearly ten years and they work well.
