Need a piston ring for older Coleman Air Compressor

This Coleman Powermate compressor was made by Sanborn and its twenty plus years old. It stopped building pressure and a teardown revealed a broken piston ring. Mastertool has a piston/rod/ring set for $162, I don't want to invest that in this older unit. Any idea where I can source just a new ring for this unit? I contacted Sanborn and they don't service it anymore. The ring looks to be copper and here are the dimensions:

2.25" ID
.07" thick

A few years back I picked up some really old obscure compressor and was looking for gaskets for it... I think found this guys on internet, they seems to provide air compressor parts for a lot of air compressors... maybe give them a call.. it's not cheap though, dam gaskets costed me $60 almost. it fits, but found the piston were also worn so end up didn't feel like spending any more $$$ and scraped that one. I think it was an really old speedaire unit. but anywho. give them a call?

Something of a different material might work. You might also try a hobby shop. I have friends with lots of toys and they are constantly swapping rings in the engines. Lots of custom engines in their planes and cars. A small engine repair shop would be another place to try. Even a motorcycle shop.

If its a filled teflon ring ,expect a price..........I came across these kind of rings ,and broke them to get them off to replace them.......a visit to the shoppe ....and it was out of the trash and refit ,less said the better ..........thing worked OK .
