Do you have SYWR? There are often coupons on there for Sears Automotive, which will cover batteries. I used one on a Battery Tender a while ago.

+1 for Advance Auto Parts, use a $50 off coupon code, order online with local store pickup.

The best I know of is the 35 off 300 code. There is often a 10% off automotive in my SYWR coupons, but that wouldn't be $35 off on $250.

They don't carry Diehard. Others were just being helpful by pointing out the Advance Auto code (WD59 for 35% off up to $50 off total).

Sears does have a $35 off $300 - SEARS35OFF300 which isn't a great deal but better than nothing I guess.

Where will you warranty the "DieHard" battery in few years when Sears is out of business??

+1 to take advice for Advance Auto online discount. Best deal on battery.

OP is asking specifically about the Odyssey made AGM batteries. People have been blathering on about Sears out of business for years, they arent a healthy company but im still waiting for it. Never mind the fact that Diehard, Craftsman, and Kenmore will be around for quite some time yet. In fact I doubt the first two brands will go anywhere in our lifetimes.

OP you have to just wait for a battery sale at sears. They've done away with their liberal coupon policy.

Diehard platinums are the best bang for your buck... I have 4 in my boat, they're 4 years old and haven't missed a beat... NOTHING that advance auto offers comes close to the platinums. They will go on sale...

Yep. I would recommend Odyssey-made or East Penn, particularly the Deka Intimidator. Advance Auto Parts batteries are made by Johnson Controls which isn't bad but it's not as good.

I'd actually recommend getting a Deka Intimidator over the Odyssey but they are close and the Diehard Platinums are much easier to find than Deka. You might be able to find rebrands of East Penn stuff but probably not from a store with significant discount coupons.

All of the brands I mentioned in this post are US-based, though, so that's good.

Correct - I am specifically looking for the Odyssey or the Diehard Platinum. Right now Sears appears to have the best deal...

The newest round of Shop Your Way coupons came out today. 03/04 - 03/10.

Looks like there no good Sears Automotive coupons this time around.

Pep Boys has 35% off online orders over $100. Code: Secret35

Got a $156.99 Bosch battery for $112.72 taxed and out the door. Ordered online for in store pick up.

As far as I can determine the USA Bosch batteries are made by Exide.

There are three (and only three) battery manufactures in the USA: Johnson Controls, Exide and East Penn . None of the "brand names" makes their own batteries. Sears batteries, depending on size and "quality" level can be made by any of the three. The Odyssey batteries are made by Johnson Controls.

Odyssey is made by EnerSys. Johnson Controls would never make a battery as good as Odyssey. Look what it did to Optima...
