Ive had the backpack kind, the siphon feed that you put in the bucket of sand, and an 80# pressure pot one.
I need a small one thats very portable for little jobs away from shop.I realize the use will be limited.Whats a good small one to get?

I’ve got a small HF handheld. It works but when you say small it really should say SPOT blaster. Mine works more or less ok but is far from bragworthy. It absolutely won’t shoot larger stuff like Coal slag I found out. Honestly I much prefer the hand held ( dip it in a small jar of sand method ) using my ancient HF gun and hose rig. The little guy just doesn’t want to do much but wast air in my experience.

Got the Speed Blaster today
I cant believe it got here from Indiana that quick.
Seems well made.
Went to Northern to get some glass media and they were out! 2 huge shelves were bare,so its gonna wait until I get some media to test.

Speed Blasters are great. Only downfall is having to reload them often.

had a chance to try out the Speed Blaster.
I find it kinda like using a DR tow behind backhoe to remove stumps.
But as a note Im doing all of this away from all my equipment, and using one of those buzz bomb compressors.
So the fact that you need to stop every 5 minutes and fill the hopper isnt a problem,it gives the buzz bomb a chance to catch up.
This was the first time using cleanbite media, which was cheap($8 FOR 50# at Northern Tool) and I like the stuff. At my place I have a pressure pot and real compressor so I ll be seeing more of the cleanbite.

The blaster works great for what it is,a small jobs blaster.

Heres a couple pics of the project for the day,I didnt try and make all of the frame look like new,its 20 yrs old but its been well cared for so a fresh coat of paint over this and it will be fine. I had the bed off for fuel pump replacement so was mainly interested in doing the top of frame.
