I agree with that thought.
I believe that is a low cost vise that was sold in one of those traveling tool tent sale businesses.
Just buy a new vise at harbor freight or even better, a classic old made in USA vintage vise from back in the day when vises were made to hold up to hard use.
Facebook Marketplace is usually full of possibilities.
If you really want to save your old vise, I bet any vise of similar make up would match yours. Just get a parts vise and and cannibalize it and keep it on hand. They were made in China and then sold under an almost infinite number of names.
