Need a spindle for a Cummins tools BVM53149 5" Bench vise

I broke the spindle on my Cummins Industrial tools 5" bench vise model BVM53149. Would anyone know where I can buy parts for this? I haven't found anything online.

I think you'll find it cheaper and easier to just buy a new vise. Repair parts for inexpensive Chinese vises don't really exist, and even if you could identify the thread pitch and form, you'll have more time and money into it than it's worth.

I agree with that thought.
I believe that is a low cost vise that was sold in one of those traveling tool tent sale businesses.
Just buy a new vise at harbor freight or even better, a classic old made in USA vintage vise from back in the day when vises were made to hold up to hard use.
Facebook Marketplace is usually full of possibilities.

If you really want to save your old vise, I bet any vise of similar make up would match yours. Just get a parts vise and and cannibalize it and keep it on hand. They were made in China and then sold under an almost infinite number of names.

That red vise is an example of a vise just like yours that somebody dolled up and is fishing for a big payday.

I have a Cummins vise that I bought back in the late 90s when a "tool sale" truck came through the little farm town I lived in. It has served me well and suffered many uses/abuses I put it through. Lately I've used it with a set of bending dies to make flanges on 16ga sheet metal. I am definitely pushing what it is capable of sustaining. Maybe I need to shop for a real, decent, vintage Wilton or similar vise before I bust this old Cummins.
