When I built the shop 10 years ago I used the cheap 8' T-12 2 bulb fixtures and finally I am starting to run out of bulbs (Think I started with 4 cases)

My thought here is to replace the fixtures with LED as the bulbs burn out.

I have 8 fixtures to mod or replace.

So what would you replace them with?

I just replaced two 8' 2 bulb t12 fixtures with two 4 bulb 4' T5HO fixtures with reflectors I can not believe the difference . I plan on changing out the rest as budget allows .

I just swapped out a couple of T8 fixtures with Commercial Electric LED fixtures from Home Depot. They cost about $40 each. What a HUGE difference in lighting! My wife wants one in her laundry area because they are so much brighter than the "can" spot light in the ceiling.

Because they are plug in fixtures, the only downside to installing them was that I had to run switched power from a junction box to a couple of ceiling outlets through the attic crawlspace. Not that difficult with my 18 y/o skinny son actually running the lines, but it was more trouble than I expected. The garage looks amazing now.
