Get a CK torch and a ck super flex hose. Figure out the adapter you need for your machine. It should thread onto the hose.

Post some pics of what you have. I am guessing you have the mp140t. If that is the case then this is scratch start (or lift arc) So you set the voltage on the machine touch the electrode, lift it then the arc starts and you weld. Fairly easy to do. You will need a different gas bottle for straight Argon, you mig gas wont work. You can use the same reg or get a new one for the new gas bottle.

yes MP140T (its in the title)
I have argon and a couple of regulators but just thought the ball type were a little more accurate

They are, but you are not going to be doing brain surgery with that machine. It is more like a small club. As far as the torch, it looks like a regular dinse connector for the power lead and the standard inert gas fitting for the argon (Straight argon not argon/co2). You might be able to find one cheaper, but where it will bite you is if you then need to change the dinse connector. A hundred bucks to get into the tig game is cheap. after a wee while you will want a pedal, then you will want to tig aluminum, that hundred bucks will start looking like chump change pretty quick!

I am not sure which 5 pin connect that is called. I have bought from eBay HTPUSA store for the 14 pin version for the Miller welder before maybe check with them.

while Im waiting on supplier of torch to respond on the wiring connector, what rods do I need?
I think getting a small pack from Amazon will work so post some recommendations please
it says .040 to 1/8 in size.
Will start with mild steel for practice.

Aparently GX16 and xs16 seems to be the same. just check dimension. both are relative cheap at amazon and ebay... with amazon usa stock, and the other well ... wait.. of cause cost differences... but at less than $10... might worth it. I didn't check digikey, probably more expensive, they should have that also.

They might still fit\, not sure. if one with screw cap one doesn't is the only differences. wouldn't be a problem.

as far as rods, ebay is the cheapest, especially with NOS. 1/8 rods are pretty thick. make sure your welder can handle that. 3/32 or 1/16 might be a bit better. and any material except aluminum or some weird titanium you can't weld with DC tig.

ER70S is common for steel you can get them at HF for pretty cheap if 1lb is all you needed. about $12.99. better price at Ebay.
ER80 or ER90 are more for chrome moly, some bike builder from Texas sells it a pretty good price.. at ebay.

ER309 is for 400 series stainless or mix stainless 300 series with 400 series.... or mix stainless supposedly good for some cast iron
*ER308 is for 304 stainless.

ERCUSI-A
NI99
NI55
are pretty expensive like 200% more than few months ago.

I just got a 10LB ER309 for $60 shipped. that is pretty normal price, about the same before pandemic and tariff pricing.

Local welding supply stores are also another option. And I just checked hf does carry 3/32 or 1/8 for er70s-2 rods for $12.99 stock might vary by stores. Besides that you can always **** two piece of flat coupon and struck and arc trying to fuse it without rods for tig welding. Yours would be a scratch start with manual gas, that might take some skills. There is that moonrise guy here that knows a lot more on welding but pretty sure he frequent the fabrication section more.

Nozzle wise it dependent on the type of torch you have. $40 seems about right.

Im all set with the tungsten etc.
What I have a question about is the switch on torch and wiring .
The gas flow control knob will dial down the gas so whats the switch and wiring for?
Ive heard that some units use the trigger to stop arc and since I currently have a connector mismatch
I cant just plug in and try.

I tried the Amazon ones in a 5 pack
yes 5 pin, right style connector collar but male /female was reversed(I need male on the connector body, female on the bulk head end)
to make things worse it looks like pin spacing is smaller so nothing would line up even if the male/female thing was resolved.

The switch on the torch are just on off switch push button for these type of torch, not even variable amp. Unless it is specified control like it have a variable ohm to control the current, your welder have to have control board accepting it like the miller welders are 100k ohm variable resistor to control that.

Pin out wise you will have to find out for your specific welder, it’s not standard. The pic of the two pin plug seems just on off, you can verify with an ohm meter. It should only be on or off typical Chinese welder or plasma cutter are like that. Plus the on/ off wiring of cause.

Usually tig or stick welding is constant current source, mig is constant voltage source. Ymmv just saying
