We're looking for someone to work on-site doing some light machining (mill, lathe, CNC mill, hand tools) and assembly work (metal parts, circuit boards, cabling). Attitude and aptitude is more important than experience, but some experience would be great.

Yes, actually. Thanks, it's always an adventure here. And we do it all right here except for having circuit boards made, the sheet metal, and the powder coating and anodizing.

That is pure awesome - I, too, wish I was closer.
I understand the necessity, but does anyone else find it ironic that it takes traditional machining to build a 3D printer?

Nah. Agent Egyptians used two-person manual lathes. The tool before creates the current tool. That's how how it works.
