Hello GJ members! The wife and I are finally ready to get out of our townhome here in NC and get into a real home. I originally made a requirement of a 3 car attached, but we are finding more properties we like with just a 2 car and land to build a detached.
Having said that, if we did build a detached, I think I want a 2x2 tandem garage, meaning 2 single doors, and the ability to pull into each door "2 car lengths." I think a 30x50 would give me everything I need. The plan would be in the front of one bay (near the door) a two post lift and the back spot would be the tools, work area, etc. The other side would just be room for 2 parked vehicles, and ceilings high enough to put lifts in there to store 2 per slot stacked.
If you guys understand my desires/descriptions, I want to know:
I searched for 30x50 posts but I get a lot of steel buildings and I know that if change the square footage a ton it makes for a lot more search results. I appreciate it guys!
Edit: Found a link of sort of "the look" I am going for. Maybe a little more decorative. Definitely some different/nicer doors. might even do the lower half brick and the upper vinyl siding.
Edit 2: This is the dream situation. I have to think this is an easy $100k waiting to happen.

- Is 30x50 a good target?
- Any estimates of budget for a nice foundation (with in ground heating) and a brick building? Probably 3 windows on each side, and a front and side entry door.
- Any links on here to some similar buildings?
