I posted last fall asking for advice on doing this rough in myself. Well with other things going on I decided to hire it out here recently. Today the rough in was completed by a local company and I'm not happy with how things were done. Especially after spending so much time researching this and knowing exactly what I wanted done.
First, my main concern is how shallow the lines were buried(pics below). I think just 3"-4" below my slab is just too close..and outside the pipe to the septic is coming out at 4"-5" below grade. Won't this freeze and cause and ice blockage at below freezing temps? Are there nat'l codes concerning this? Also my stub-ups aren't perpendicular with my wall. I'm going to have to frame my wall slightly crooked to catch them all within the sill plate..They think its no big deal and told me to put my wall in straight and some of the drains would be touching my drywall but be okay..What?? I've never heard of such **** shouldn't I be entitled to straight on center pipes and buried an acceptable depth?.. The buried depth I noticed only after they left the site..Oh and they smashed my sheet metal wall when digging outside..told me they could hammer it out Haha haahaa..I'm not making this up..The good..I haven't paid nothing yet..This was a branch crew of the plumbing co so I gotta get the company head out here for this but I do want advice and opinions..Thanks

Was the work you are objecting to Permitted and Inspected? If so you may want to consider having it re-inspected.

I would approach this very gingerly with the AHJ.

No it's not..Not required on farm of 10 or more acres here in my county. A county here in in western Ky. I do have to sign off when pymt is to be made. I think signing a statement I understand that the plumber not required to pull a permit. However the septic will require those things at a later date..In my estimate it stated that the plumbing would be done to code and pictures taken to verify that..I don't know if that actuall took place today..Left the jobsite in the hands of the plumbers and was too return when they finished but they called me but didn't wait around(Im only 15 min from my farm)..The job was done in 2 hrs..Two guys, thought it would at least go 1/2 the day..When I got out there I called them back because my shower trap wasn't placed and stubbed and they come back and placed a plastic box over the area and said it would be done after the slab pour..My concrete guy never heard of such BS and had concerns over several things.

I guess you could get around the misaligned stubs by building that wall with 2x6's instead of 2x4's, but you shouldn't have
My wall is to be 2x6's ..Im pulling my wall from the post(beside window in the pic). They veered the stubs the direction of the window. I cant bring my wall further right or I wont have room to trim out my windows. Damn windows weren't supposed to be right at the post(another story there)! Let me just say you shouldn't have a structural built if you can't be present.

For sure, from my experience, I would’ve marked the location of the wall, both at the wooden form and also at the inner end with metal stakes. Maybe even ran strings. If you want it done right ….
You bring up something else I’ve always wondered about: Roughing in plumbing underground for future use. We’ve all heard about building inspectors saying “ I don’t work off of ( old ) photos. So what happens in the future when the septic is permitted and the plumbing is going to happen? Anybody know? Can you get a tentative permit and inspection for roughed-in plumbing that will be covered up ?

For my area, frost line is 36" meaning that's how low it should go. I'm sure you're a little higher but not 5-6". I would have really thought those guys should know how low to put them. My suggestion when you review with them- advise you'll have the county inspector out to verify. Even if you don't that will make them understand you're not happy with the current situation.
Here's frost line for foundations. You'll have a slab so it is a little differnt for slabs.

Can't answer your questions but I would think who does my septic would only be concerned at the shallow main drain pipe(but that depth is gonna change if I have to do it myself). ..by the way I not only had the wall staked and strung I also had my sill plate laid out with dimensions and locations of stub ups. They took it up and move it out of their way and measured everything(a few incorrectly) off the back wall😔
