So I've been working on building a new shop for a few years now and have most the details ironed out except the site work. I'm thinking it may be something I have to tackle myself with my employees and friends. If I can even get a quote it takes months and sometimes exceeds the budget for the entire project. My immediate goal is to get to the point where the slab can be poured and finish the work in the right of way like the construction driveway. I've had two right of way use permits that have expired and they only last a couple months I'm about to apply for another one this coming week.

I'm more than willing to pay someone to help out with this. The project is in Pasco county FL (Tampa bay) and is .6 acre.Screen Shot 2021-07-24 at 2.58.30 PM.png
Thanks

The fine print is too fine to read. Interview several civil engineers to find the best-qualified person for your objectives. Hire the best candidate, meet with him or her as often as you feel the need and watch their work with a cautious but not suspicious eye.

Unless you are a excavation contractor,Call an excavation contractor. The plan clearly states you have to be ada compliant with grade and cross slop.It calls for two handicap ramps with warning devices installed at the ramp base,if any of these sidewalk conditions are installed wrong you will not get a co until they are corrected. If I am reading it correctly ,the plan calls for Geogrid back filled with sand in the grass park areas.I have had to use this a couple of times and it ***** to install. You need a fence contractor,a concrete contractor,a paving contractor,a landscaper, and there is excavation for the pavement, sidewalk, septic, building foundation, and landscaped areas around the building. All these trades require guidance and coordination.I don’t know how much time you want to put into this.Time is money.I would think if you had all the contractors on board you are looking at a 3-4 weeks of site work initally and then a week to landscape, topcoat the pavement(thermoplastic pavement markings),and install the concrete wheel stops.
I did not see any provision for water. What are your plans on providing water service,The plan does show a waterline running on the backside of the lot.Hope this all helps.
Good luck with your project

Thanks for the reply. That plan I posted is just one page of quite a few that shows the water etc. I was able to find an excavator last week to do the beginning stages of the plan. The site guys in Florida in my area are super busy it’s hard to even get them to respond.

All these plans are approved and permitted. I’m trying to break the work into smaller sections to get the building up. After that I’ll have all the materials and tools stored inside to finish. It’ll be downhill from there. My civil can’t help me. His job is done.
