I'm looking for the overall "best" product for my application and even after lurking and reading here for months I'm still not sure which direction to go. And by "best" "my application" I mean:

Best

- reasonable price
- ease of application
- will stand up to family useage (auto work, kids dragging whatever across it)
- long lasting (I know from my present house that Behr flooring at Home Depot lasts 5 years). Given the amount of effort I'd like the product to have a 10+ year lifespan

My application

- 36x24 ft 3 car garage
- brand new pour summer 2011 (May-July timeframe)
- broom finish (see pic for example)
- driveway will be a gravel surface for the next 2-3 years
- Canadian climate conditions: Will see salty winters with slush dropping off the car
- garage will see hobby-type useage, I will drag a 100lb floor jack across it, use jack stands, drop things on it, oil / brake fluid may spill occasionally but will be wiped up asap. Nothing industrial / business scale.

I have a move in date for the beginning of August 2011. Ideally I would like to tackle the floor before we move in so there should not be anything besides typical construction debris on it such as drywall dust, wood chips and maybe some paint. I don't have a lot of time so I want a product that is relatively simple to use. The garage is going to have a broom finish and will not be ground down. This was recommended as I cannot have a surface that is slippery when wet seeing as it could have snow/slush melting on it Nov-March.

My past experience:

I have two garages under my belt, a single in the townhouse and a double in our current house.

Townhouse: I used a cheap paint-on product from Home Depot, paid about $30 @ container. My experience was less than satisfactory, within a year paint was lifting from under the tires and wearing out on traffic arears.

Current Double car garage:

I spent a little more and went with the Behr product with flecs commonly available at Home Depot for $99 @ package. Bought two for the dble car garage. My experience was satisfactory, after five years I can see the paint is lifting away again where the cars drive in/out. Overall it has held up well but I do not want to have to redo my 3 car garage every 5 years. At this point I am willing to pay more money for a product that will last longer, hopefully at least 2x as long.

I have thought about a tile product such as race deck but at the moment the price $1500-2500 is prohibitive. I need a product that will be sub $1000 for a 24x36, something in the $500 range would be great.

Would be nice but the product does not have to be available in Canada. I'm close enough to the US / NY border to drive down and pick up. There's also a Lowes right in town on the NY side.
