Good morning all, I collect a ton of old stuff and vintage, antique and industrial lighting is pretty high on the list of stuff I love to find. I was picking this old building that’s been around since 1880ish but has been abandoned for at least 20 years and is about to be demolished. Tons of old treasure in this building that will be destroyed soon. While pulling some textured glass panes I noticed two 12” blown glass Opal globes just lying on the floor inside the building. This is a three story building but it’s slowly been collapsing inside itself over the years so I’m guessing these globes fell from their fixtures and landed on some carpet padding bc there’s no way they wouldn’t have shattered if they hit the hardwood. Anyways I made a long grabbing tool and pulled both to the window and I wanted at least one of the fixtures so I fought for a while and finally got one. I took everything home and cleaned it up but can’t seem to reassemble the whole thing. I’m fairly mechanically inclined and have rebuilt several more complicated items but can’t do this one. I’m hoping someone has installed or seen this setup before. Since the globes were on the ground I’m thinking I might be missing a part?? Anyways if you know the answer you may have to draw it out bc I may not understand. There are three pieces the globe, the fixture and the three rods that I assume would hold the globe on via tension.
