I am ready install VCT in 2600 sqft of my barn and need some advise.

From reading posts, it looks like Armstrong S-750 adhesive is what people use but it is hard to get. I can order it online only at Home Depo but only in 4 gallons and take 3 weeks to get in. One gallons are not available. Amazon no longer carry either size. The only other big box store by me is Menards and they don't sell it. So I am looking for alternatives. It looks like my other options are:
1) Henry 430
2) Roberts 2057
Has anyone used ether of these and what was your experience?

Also how do you transition from VCT to concrete at the garage doors?

1/8 x 1-1/2" aluminum flat stock usually available at all the big box stores typically in 8 ft. lengths. Don't know about Menards, we don't have that store in SoCal. Glue it down with Liquid Nail HD Construction Adhesive.

Thanks for the feedback.
Going with Henry 430 glue and waiting for it to arrive. Hopefully I can get this floor done soon.

Please follow up with a post after the project is done. I am looking at doing a workshop off of the garage in VCT. Also, I have discovered Armstrong's Diamond 10 Technology that is a surface coating on VCT. It looks like the extra coating is only distributed through Retail Flooring Specialists to give them a proprietary product to compete with big box stores who do not have this in their product line. You can get the same tile colors with or without Diamond 10. The catch is that it looks like nearly DOUBLE the price.

Good luck on the project. Looking forward to the results.

If someone else is looking for Armstrong S-750 it may be useful to contact some carpet stores in your area, they often carry armstrong flooring products and can order the glue faster than big box stores. Won't be any cheaper though, obviously.

Curious to see how your project turned out as well!

Late in giving feedback (as rbunch mentioned) on how the floor went.

After power washing the floor and vacuuming the floor in the low spots to remove the water, I let the floor dry for a couple of days to make sure it was good and dry. I used the Henry 430 adhesive and could not be happier. One word of advice is don't get too anxious to start laying tile. Let the glue dry per the instructions (slightly tacky). While everyone's technique will be different, when spreading the glue, I would pour a thick line of glue and have the trowel move it towards me while going side to side. That seem to work best for me and was faster. Also, I only did 500 sqft at a time. I started in the middle edge of the floor and from there just laid one tile at a time. I did have a couple of tiles that lifted up on the edge shortly after laying them but just put a stack of tiles on top of them and left it over night. That did the trick and it has been over a year and not have had any problems.

As far as cost, I bought about half the tiles at an auction (.25/tile) and the other half at Menards at around .80/tile. I use a little over 6 gallons of glue and 6 trowels. If your going to topcoat it, I went to Home Depot and used the 4 step Zep system. I used the high traffic wax and was surprised how slip resistance it was with wet shoes.

One side note, I had a furnace installed and the installer were not very careful. They damaged a couple of tiles but I was able to use a heat gun to remove the tiles and just replace them. After applying top coat the floor was good as new. To me, that is the advantage of using VCT.

In summary, I would use it again
