Got a new vise and just wondering what different options are out there for mounting it to my workbench. I'd love to see some pics of what you guys have set up. I vaguely remember seeing a set up where the vise had a receiver hitch so it could be mounted in different positions ect. The receiver might have been used for other uses as well. My vise is a harbor freight unit I got for Christmas a couple years back. Finally getting close to getting it put on the bench and wanted to get some input.

I mounted my HF vise on my wood workbench right above where a vertical 1x6 is located at. Just place the vise where you want it and mark the holes and drill them out and use some bolts, washer, and nuts.

Comes in handy to use as a clamp to hold something to work on, and for doing bends in metal and many other uses.

Need to mount it so the inside jaw is out past the edge of the bench. That way if you put something in the vise vertical it can hang down and wont have interference with the bench..
