Hey gang I have a question. I am redoing some wood cabinets in automotive paint. I recently did the front shop cabinets in PPG left over auto paint and liked them a lot. However I did them in Viper red.

The problem is I am now out of red paint and really dont want to spend a C note on some more single stage paint but I want to get these cabinets done so they look a lot nicer, ect.
The shop is pretty big and I have it all done in red, white and black, with lots of mopar art, ect.

I have full quarts of several colors of paint and two quarts of single stage paint that is what I really want to use as the two stage can be used on other projects as I want them done nicer.

Here are the cabinets in question and I have a couple of other cabinets that are just two that will also be painted.

What colors do you prefer

I have the following

Sublime green,

Petty blue

or, wait and do them in Red?????????

I also have two stage in an orange.

My question is which one??????

Save your cash and do them in the blue. They'll look great.Maybe do some kind of unifying element in black...either on the cabinets or on the walls. That's my $.02

I say blue, just because the red and green will be a little funky.

Maybe you could find a matching red in an inexpensive paint--it doesn't have to be automotive paint, right?

Its painted a redish right now in reglary paint. By painting it in epoxy primer and using a urathane, I reduce the dust that sticks to it and it then looks almost metal and gives me the finish I want.

Well, they are done, I went with Petty blue. The ends will be done in diamond plate to finish them off.

Too late , but I would have said green. Don't get me wrong the blue looks very nice with the black trim and the diamond plate will add to it. The green just looks cool, especially on the Challenger

The blue and black looks good.

Just make sure you paint the inside of the cabinets white. It makes a HUGE difference in visibility when looking for something.
