Need ArmorClad install advice

Little backstory: I laid down a competitors epoxy and it's done it's job as my prep work was uber meticulous and I've had virtually no lifting. Floor's been properly scuffed and I'm going to apply the two part Armor Clad in about a week when the weather's optimal.

I need hands on Armorclad experience only - Tips, tricks, what to do, what not to do, rollers nap, mixing advice, what you did wrong or right.....

I am not topcoating because I'm not doing anything heavy duty on the floor and my research shows the ArmorClad urethane topcoat is actually less hard than the epoxy. However, I purchased the ArmorGrip additive to put in the epoxy. Anyone have experience with this? Does it change application? Does it modify the smooth finish or cause dullness? Does it actually work?

Has anyone not topcoated? What were your results short and long term.

Our basic advice is to please read our instructions which have been edited over the years based on client feedback and issues that arose from installs. It gives clear guidance on mixing and such. We also have a nice video which gives some tips and tricks. Both are available online.

The topcoat helps to prevent staining and to make cleaning easier. We offer an optional topcoat that is much more scratch resistan than epoxy if you desire it.

We also have a new topcoat called Diamond Coat we are about to offer online that is super hard with a 4H+ hardness rating.

Can you tell me if ArmorgGrip in my ArmorPoxy coat will in any way modify the look of the epoxy coating?

Anytime you use a non skid additive it will always take away a little of the gloss finish.
That being said, the Armorgrip is a very mild non skid additive that is really designed to be mixed in to the protective topcoat. It will likely have little to no effect in terms of non skid protection when mixed into the epoxy coating. If you would like more non skid protection if you are not using a protective topcoat we recommend mixing in some clean sand such as skid tex which we carry or you can likely find locally.

After the floor is completely scuffed (some areas will be bare concrete) should I use the ArmorEtch?

Hi, sorry we missed this post. If you mechanically prepare, then you don't need to etch. Per our instructions though if you do mechanically prepare your floor we strongly recommend priming.

Just laid down the main epoxy coating this afternoon and some parts of the floor have dimples popping up and others don't. Anyone have an answer? A repair?

Please contact our office directly for technical advice. Appears to be moisture bubbles or emissions from the slab.
