Need better traction on my floor

I ride BMX, and need better traction on my warehouse floor. Are some floor coatings more sticky than others?

I am looking at coating the floor of my indoor practice spot, and I do not want the floor to be slippery.

I had a pro come out to lay down some samples. He did polyurea with the following anti-skid additives:

1. 20 grit aluminum oxide (too slippery)
2. 60 grit aluminum oxide (too sharp and will ruin my tires)
3. Silica sand (this might work)

My last warehouse had a smooth floor without any anti-skid grip, and the floor had perfect traction. I don't know if that floor was painted with epoxy, enamel, polyurea, etc...

I liked the floor WITHOUT any grit, because I could just quickly go over it with dust mop and it was good to go. I'm worried if the floor has grit that it will be harder to mop.

Which coating would give me the best traction for a rubber tire?

I ride MTB. I went with tiles on my floor.

Any coating is slick without antiskid. We have some very aggressive antiskid that we use in situations like this. Happy to send a sample of the aggressive

Wouldn't any polished surface, as long as it's dust/dirt free, provide traction for soft bmx tires? What about really cleaning (pressure washer?) your current floors?

Great that you ride MTB, so you know what I'm talking about.

My old place had a floor that was maybe painted, but I'm not sure. It had great traction, and I don't recall seeing any noticeable raised anti-skid additives like aluminium oxide or silica sand.

Do you think that could have been something like porch / floor enamel? Do you know if paint or porch / floor enamel is more tacky than polyurea?

I know that floor enamel isn't as durable and would chip up from crashing, but I'm more concerned with how it rides vs. how it looks.

I just don't want it to be slippery. I also do want the anti-skid to be too aggressive as it will wear down my tires when I spin. On a smooth floor my tires will last a few months, but on rough surface they only last a week or two.

Let me know your thoughts, and if you think floor enamel would be stickier.

I have ridden at a few places with polished concrete floors. If the floor has a nice concrete sealer on top then they are okay when clean. But if the sealer isn't totally new then the tires don't have much to grab onto.

I used to mop a polished floor with a little bit of Coca-Cola, but I really don't want to do that again :)

You may be interested in our LiquaTile 1143 CFLC epoxy. It has a Coefcient of Friction of 1.53 (dry) which is more than twice the ADA recommendation. An added benefit is that it is hard as nails and can take a real beating.
