I ride BMX, and need better traction on my warehouse floor. Are some floor coatings more sticky than others?
I am looking at coating the floor of my indoor practice spot, and I do not want the floor to be slippery.
I had a pro come out to lay down some samples. He did polyurea with the following anti-skid additives:
1. 20 grit aluminum oxide (too slippery)
2. 60 grit aluminum oxide (too sharp and will ruin my tires)
3. Silica sand (this might work)
My last warehouse had a smooth floor without any anti-skid grip, and the floor had perfect traction. I don't know if that floor was painted with epoxy, enamel, polyurea, etc...
I liked the floor WITHOUT any grit, because I could just quickly go over it with dust mop and it was good to go. I'm worried if the floor has grit that it will be harder to mop.
Which coating would give me the best traction for a rubber tire?
