Hi folks,

I am just starting the design phase of my 22 x 40 to 50 foot workshop garage. I live in rural Oregon. One of the long walls will have great southerly exposure for solar heat collection. I am planning on passive solar windows for that side and solar collectors for radiant flooring. I want to work the design of the tubing runs and am looking for a site to help me with the layout/material specs of the design. I am thinking of building my work tops over the heated water storage tanks, does that have any drawbacks or concerns? Looking for your advise here - thanks in advance.

Mike

Most companies that sell the materials for in floor radiant heat will be more than happy to figure out exactly what you need. Just send them the dimensions or sketch of the area you want to heat. They will send you back a diagram of how and where to layout the plumbing as well as a materials list and cost.
