Okay so my foreman at work has this old craftsman box and it's missing two drawers. I've been searching everywhere for what to search for to find some drawers but I find nothing. If anybody can help me it would make both mine and his day.

The box is a 12 drawer 26 wide x 12 deep x 19 tall craftsman from what I understand to be 60s - 70s time. Any help would be appreciated.

The outside drawer front is roughly 9" wide.

55 views and no ideas on where to look to find some drawers for this old box? Any thoughts on whether or not Craftsman may be able to help me out here. I can't find any indication of what the box is anywhere. He tore it apart today to clean it and found no distinguishable markings. If further dimensions are needed I'd be glad to get them at work tomorrow.

I'd suggest calling Waterloo and pray you can get someone helpful on the line.

I'm not sure of the maker but they have made a ton of craftsman boxes.

Other than that. Might start thinking about fabing some up. A pita for sure but not likely to find stock drawers.

Perhaps Sears parts direct can at least tell you when it was made and the manuf based on the logo.

Craftsman won't be able to do anything without a model number I'm sure. Chances are they couldn't even if you had one.

Your best bet would be hoping that somebody on here has some from a box that is too far beyond repair. A friend of mine had one that was similar, although I think a little older, that was in rough shape. I can't remember if he gave it away or if it's at his dad's. I'll ask him.

I feel for you dude. I think that's going to be a tough one to find. You are most likely going to have to buy a junker box to find those .

My dad has that exact box in our garage..currently in use so can't really steal drawers from it..crazy how a box would lose drawers like that!

I will get a closer look on the tab. I figured I would have to go used to find the drawers. I'm just trying to figure out what to search for. I'll get specific dimensions on both drawers as well which should help me locate something useful. Thanks for the replies everyone.

@Super Sport That would be great if you could ask. I'm willing to pay for the drawers. Or entire box if he can ship whatever it costs. If your friend still has it of course.

Your best best is to either a.) try to find another worse box to salvage for parts or, and what I would do. B.) Is add a false front and possibly sides to turn those drawers into deeper drawers. Just my 2¢. Those aren't as common as the 10 drawer version 930 posted above. So finding a upper left drawer is going to be easier than finding a upper middle drawer.

930dreamer - can you post a link for that box. I know it's not the right one, but it's a start.

LB-1911 - I have seen that post on jalopyjournal and a few others that are like it. May have to message the folks and try to gather information from them on the model/numbers of box.

zkling - I'm on the search for a worse off box to use, and while your B.) is a completely great idea it's not what the man with the box wants to do. We had discussed various ideas and he is on the prowl for replacement drawers.

Thanks for all the help folks I will continue my journey and if anyone comes across anything of the sort please think of me.
