I can't believe the guy said that.

We need to all pull together and get that guy thrown off eBay.

He is a dirty person who has no business selling!! He gives people like me a bad rep!! Buyers think all sellers are like that after a few bad deals.

I agree with chad s! Anyone supposedly making mid 6 figures who argues over $20 isn't working with a full deck. One of the biggest rules of selling is to make the customer happy, it's not worth the $20 or whatever to have a disgruntled customer.

Happy customers are return customers. His volume of business on ebay alone would easily let him write off something like this.

No excuse for not checking items items before shipping. Like I said before, if you are going to describe condition then it has to be accurate. You cannot describe condition without checking the item to see if it works!!!!!!

I agree with wrenchr, forward the email to ebay----he put his foot in his mouth with this statement:
"I do just resell tools and don’t test any of them"
I think ebay would be interested in seeing that. Also give ebay a link to this thread.

Report this to ebay. A seller was recently suspended for leaving a negative in such a manner.

Also, making personal comments such as, "This guy is a looser" is another no-no. For a physician his command of the English language is appalling.

I think in most cases that is a missconception. Most very wealthy people I know are generally very generous and not cheap. Most wealthy people are very smart, and have setup a good way to make a lot of money, counting pennies isnt productive.

This guy doesnt seem to be too smart, most intelligent wealthy people dont go around flaunting it, unless they feel insecure about themselves.

Treating people with honesty and respect allows one to feel good about themself, knowing they have done the right thing. Most crooks have little self respect. If they cant show self respect, they certainly cant show it for others. Spaz-stingwray is a prime example.

You are correct sir. It is not good business practice from a customer service standpoint, but that's how a lot of people operate.

The other day I was about to buy something at a pawn shop but I was kinda on the fence about it. Well, I told them that if they threw in a 50 cent tool from their junk tool bin that I wanted I would buy it. The girl said sorry we can't do that, so I said nevermind and walked out. Someone needs to teach them something about business.

Agreed. But a smart business person pays attention to the individual situation and can balance the customer service/penny-pinching practices successfully...

FYIW, looser is misspelled. It should be loser. Which is defined as "someone or something that is marked by consistently or thoroughly bad quality, performance, etc.: Don't bother to see that film, it's a real loser." [Dictionary.com] I guess they do not cover that in med school.

Well what hapened to me was, he left a positive but the said i was a loser in the mesage and said do not sell to me, dont worry about it, neg him if he dosent do the right thing to fix it

When I look at someones feedback, I dont have the time to read everyone, no one does. I look for red and grey dots. When I see a red or gret dot, I read that remark. If I find a LOT of red and grey, I weigh the risk factor. If I see just a very few, I also look at the feedback of who left the negative. Its usually pretty easy to spot a retaliatory feedback situation (although since the new system, this wont happen much on the buyers end). Plus, I only look at a sellers feedback if their percentage is under 100%.

Dont worry about getting a positive categorised feedback that has a nasty remark, a few transactions down the line, it wont be at the top anymore, and no one will care.

You're right, but the problem is that when the seller can't leave negative feedback, some scum buyers will gouge you. EBay supposedly won't let a buyer hold you hostage with negative feedback, but it happens and they rarely do anything about it. I was going to post an example, but I thought better of it. Believe me, though, it happens to good sellers. Previously, the feedback system was self-policing, but as with most things, once it gets taken over by a bureaucracy it goes to pot.

Expect nothing from the seller that will harm you if you give them negative feedback. They can run you down in a positive feedback, but you still have the positive, and nobody will read it after a few transactions. The only issue is that they can purchase something form you and hit you with an unwarranted negative, and you can count on eBay letting it by if they make something up that sounds somewhat realistic.

The new system would be fine if eBay would police it properly, but they have so many accounts and so few real people to deal with complaints that it is just impossible.

Nice to know there is back door for bad sellers. I stopped using Ebay for a bit when I ran into a retalitory situation. I reported it to ebay etc... just a waste of my time. At least with the new system you can leave a mark on their feedback. Funny thing is that the situation I was in the seller left retalitory feedback for me and then banned me from ordering from him in the future... The only thing I did wrong was pay within minutes of the auction close - seller decided that he would wait nearly 2 weeks to ship the item - Net for seller is the loss of what I estimate to be at least 1K in future purchases from me.
