Ok guys...I know you have opinions, and are people who actually use and maybe abuse equipment. How about helping me out and look at my site and see what you like and dislike, maybe you have experience with some of the items. I've added a Feedback page to see how I can approve the site. If you have a minute or two, please take a look...Thanks www.compressorpros.com

Thanks to everyone who checked out the site the last couple days. Would still love to hear any feedback you might have, either here or on the Feedback page on the site.

I took so time to explore your site,It is easy to navigate and find different styles of compressors and you seem to carry allot of high end (expensive) compressors. Now do not take that as a bad thing but me speaking personally i would call myself a semi-cheap *** and this forum offers a great wealth of knowledge on do it yourself type repairs. Would i use your site personally no but that is just me.I am certain that allot of members here might go your way but you may have to offer a few more selections such as quincy, rol air, devilbiss to name a few as they have a loyal following

It would be nice to see a list of air tools each compressor is capable of running. Makes shopping for a compressor much easier with quick references.

That's a good idea. I have a How to Size a Compressor page that helps with that, but I may be able to come up with a new graphic.

Why do you have a tab for "RSS Syndication"? 99.99% of your site visitors will have no clue as to what that means:

http://www.compressorpros.com/rss-syndication/

I'd simplify your Privacy Policy. You have way too much content there IMHO. (however no-one reads that stuff anyway).

I like that you put Manuals on your site for free download but how the hell do you download them?? There's no link for the actual download.

Other then that, the site looks good. I like that you quote shipping costs upfront on parts without making shoppers go thru the whole registration/ordering process.

On your $2 raffle, why don't you put a hot link direct to AFFEO so people know what it's for.

I think it looks sharp. Contact info is easily navigated and there are prices for each product. Product information is nicely concise. All in all it looks like a solid site. If I had to nitpick, some of the icons are pixilated, but that wouldnt result in any inconvenience as a prospective customer.

You seem to have all the major parts nailed, IMO.

The RSS Sydication thing was automatically there, but I turned it off. I used a service for the privacy policy...seemed like a better option than trying to make something up and get in trouble for it. As for the manuals, my original site allowed for just a link, but this had the option for digital download. I think I'll figure out a different way for that. I really appreciate the feedback. We are new to the e-commerce world and want to make our site user friendly.

The manuals can now be easily downloaded...tried to be fancy and it's just better to make things simple. Lesson learned.

Thanks again guys, this is exactly what I am looking for.

The overall look is nice and clean. Something I would like to see are filters to narrow down possible buying choices.

Filters like single or two stage, 1 or 3 phase, vertical or horizontal tank, HP, CFM... these would help in the selection process.

Second click pissed me off. Clicked on a compressor on the home page, looked at the info, clicked back to home page and it had changed to a different selection of products. When I click to return I expect the page to be the same. It took me then a bit of time to find the compressor I first looked at.

If you want to win in this field then put the same information out on each compressor you are trying to sell. To an informed consumer the FLA of the motor, brand of motor, speed of motor is important. The compressor head speed, displacement, country of origin is important. Spend the time to give the customer good facts, in a standard format that makes it easy to compare each offering. Having various random bits of information from the manufacture makes my life hard, so I won't waste my time on your site.

If you take the time to put together a table of all the information you have on each compressor you sell then you will be a standout in all the compressor sites that you are competing with.

Consider putting the question out to the internet, What information is important to you when shopping for a compressor?

Tweaking the site today and implementing some changes based on your comments. I really appreciate the feedback.

I am currently still working on adding more variety. We just added Campbell Hausfeld, so we will have some more smaller air compressors and maybe some tools and we still are waiting for Eagle to get us new info, which will give us several other options too.
