Need Floor Help!

Ok guys first post and looking for some help. We are in the process of setting up a small office here in our home for a new business and 1st in the order of doing things is to redo the floor. Basically this is our smallish two car garage that will serve two purposes 1.) house my wife's SUV at night 2.) be my primary work space as business office as well as my tinkering area.

I plan to start a build thread and document the whole process, but knew I would get my first step help here. As we just purchased this house about 4 months ago I am not really sure what we are starting with floor wise. When we moved in it has what I assume is a paint on the floor. I am coming to this conclusion as it is a color that is required by the HOA but not specifically for garage floors (wood trim, decks, etc.) Now after 4 months of my wife parking it looks like it has a grey coating of some sort underneath (see pictures).

What I need is you guys help to figure out a game plan for repairing what is there, removing the paint, or coming up with a new floor type within my budget (basically non existent since starting a business at same time).

Any help would be appreciated!

Mac

Same advice I always give -- spend a day or so and read all the threads in reverse chronlogical order and come back and ask a better question. You'll only get out of this what you put in. Also, there are many many threads on coating removal.

So outside of epoxies what kind of low budget options do I have? I have thought about carpet tiles, but not sure they would be very good for when the car is in there especially if raining and she pulls in. How would an astro turf hold up ? Obviously I am just looking for some inexpensive decent looking options until I can afford to do epoxy.

Any other options out there?
