Need floor jack moral support!!

Ok, Guys..Need some help here..Ever since I have been on this forum and learned that "yes, I CAN rebuild my floor jack"....I have become an addict. It started with an old Hein Werner which I tore down, rebuilt and puffed up (like HiBall). Then, along came a old Lincoln...for 25.00....did the same thing....really liked the Lincoln...and found another for 20.00...bought and almost have restored that to a nice beauty... All were found on Craigslist for between 20-25.00. i couldn't say No..Fortunately, I have 3 locations where having a floorjack there made sense. So, I could justify it and not have to sling one around. THEN.....yes, I did it... I went on CL again and looked at the attached pics jack..It was being sold by a total NON-Car guy... He was selling his Dad's tools. He wanted 25.00 for it and it WORKS!! Needs a cosmetic resto. I hauled it home and smuggled it in the garage like it was a stash of narcotics...so the wife and neighbors won't see I brought another one home!! Please, Can someone tell me anything on the age/history of these and was I nuts? I can't STOP myself!!!!

Gang,Thanks for the support/laughs and I knew that some of the 'therapy' might be like porschedude;s!! I did get it in the garage undetected, but the chance of being found out always exists. What do you mean by cover plate? Am I missing that? As you see it, that's how I got it...

Yeah.. Your missing the Nose piece, along with the Hydraulic Cover plate... Its Pretty common for them to be Gone, The Nose piece more so than the Unit Cover. I run across them occasionally but have a List 10 deep of GJ members who need them.

No you are not nuts. Buying tools and more tools whether you need them or not is normal behavior.
