Need garage "vanity" light recommendations

Hello folks!

Need some recommendations for a garage-style bath-vanity light style. In other words, before I put the drywall up I placed a round wall box above my worktable. The idea is to use a bathroom style vanity light that puts light down onto the work surface (but not horizontally out toward you, like many bathroom vanity lights are).

I've looked through the regular HD/Lowes/Build.com catalog, and can't exactly find what I'm looking for. Everything for bathrooms is just that - for a bathroom, whether it's because it comes with glass shades, or is too fluffy looking for the garage, etc.

I'm just looking for a wall-mounted downlight that's either dark gray or black, and lights up the worktable.

Any recommendations?

Some friends of mine had the same idea and wants.
I wired up of these over the workbench which was more like a potting bench. They loved it. And the price was LOW!

If you want to have something way cooler than the above, buy a couple of those thin led ceiling lights or smaller puck lights and build a shallow box to enclose them. Plus...you’d have a shelf to store stuff or display stuff.

Depending how high the box is above your work surface, a full cutoff wall pack might be a good fit. No light in your eyes and you can get a pretty bright light in that configuration

Why not use a 4 foot shop fixture?

I have an older 2 tube 4 foot fluorescent fixture above my work bench. I will replace it with a similar 4 foot LED when the time comes

A lot of those fixtures when mounted low, throw a significant amount of light back into your eyes while working at the bench. The OP wanted to avoid that.
I tried a 4 foot LED shop light 4 feet up over my workbench and there was too much glare into my eyes so I went with 3 individual floodlights evenly spaced over my 7 foot bench.

I thought about this, but I can't find any track lighting that is somewhat "garagey" if that makes any sense.

This was one of my original ideas, especially with the round box and ability to move the lights around. Still thinking about it, but I'd have to use low wattage bulbs as the electrical box is at about 6-1/2 feet, so I don't exactly want 200 watts of light about 3 feet above my head while sitting down on the workbench

Definitely thought about this, and still considering it. It's similar to some undercabinet lighting I have in the kitchen. Debating on building a custom shelf, something I can hopefully make match against the garage cabinets.

Not a fan of 4 foot fluorescents (even with LED's), just not my style. Looking for a more modern approach... Plus, it'd be way too bright just over my head and no real way to attach it to the wall and have it point downward.

The main lighting in the ceiling are recessed can lights, but these workbench lights need to be mounted to the wall and pointed downward.

I've used something exactly like these before, in small recessed cans in a ceiling though.
