This is my Genie Intellicode Garage Door Opener that came with my house. I had new insulated garage doors installed a few years back, and this one, (single door model), is not opening far enough. The double door next to it works fine. But this one needs to go up about a half an inch more, in order to clear the top of the antenna on my truck, when I back in and out.

I don't have the manual, and I was wondering if anyone here that is familiar with this type and model could walk me through it, step by step? There is enough room for the door to go up slightly more. Right now when the door is in its fully open position, it's about a good 1-1/2" below the top trim piece on the door frame itself.

Thanks in advance.

LB-1911 for the save! This fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes. It took me longer to back the truck out, and set up the step stool, than it did to make the adjustment. Thanks much (y)

1. Adjusting the “OPEN” limit switch (Fig. 8-1). • Run door to open position by pushing wall control. • Locate curved “OPEN” limit adjustment slot on back of power head. • Look into slot for pinion screw. • Insert a screwdriver and turn pinion screw. – clockwise to open more. – counterclockwise to open less.

2. Test door operator. Use wall control to run door open and close.

3. Repeat step as necessary to properly set “OPEN” limit switch.

4. Adjust the “CLOSE” limit switch (Fig. 8-1). • Run door fully closed by pushing wall control. • Locate curved “CLOSE” limit adjustment slot on back of power head. • Look into slot for pinion screw. • Insert a screwdriver and turn pinion screw. – counterclockwise to close more. – clockwise to close less.

5. Test door operator. Use wall control to run door open and close
