The ZIM items that look like gear pullers are for removing top post battery terminals. They work just like a gear puller and grab underneath the terminal clamp and push on the post.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Trying to figure out what to hold onto and what to get rid of.

A lot of those sockets look like bit holders for an assortment of screwdriver bits. I think i have a few of those in my box and they have that snap ring inside to retain whatever particular driver you are using at the moment.

You could put them on ebay with a "multiple item" listing and sell them for a few bucks apiece. I started with about 30 pairs of surplus M1 Carbine gas piston/nut assemblies, down to 15 now, and its a great way to move a lot of one particular item.

Last photo. Must have come from an auction to have so many or the guy was an octopus.
Dang, I have never seen anyone that needed more than one chisel/punch holder. That's what those are. Keeps you from banging your hand when you miss with a mighty swing.

Did you try looking up the part numbers stamped on them? They do look like bit holders, but I cannot tell what size drive or hex they are, so, dunno? part numbers help.

Yeah I appreciate it guys…the bit holders i have two dif sizes i have a ton of the 5/16 (3/8 drive) and i think 4 1/4 (3/8 drive)

total on the 5/16 I have around 110 (come are straight others are tapered on the input side) and for the 1/4 I have 4.

As for the punch/chisel holders i have around 30 it think.

If anyone is interested in all of a combo of the chisel holder, Bit holder, snap-on socket let me know and I can roll it together and try and get rid of some of this stuff….

Where did you get the cabinet or where did it come from? I'd probably bet that it was at one time in a tool crib due to the multiples of the same items. Got any pictures of the actual cabinet? Price paid? The industrial cabinets are really nice for tool storage.

I got 4 of these http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=224742

and then 4 that are 45"w x 33"h x22"d all in real good condition.

I got them through i guy i know at work. Guy owned a tool supply yard and didn't want to move them…so me and a buddy made 4 trips in reg pickup…i had to use my engine hoist to get them out….they're heavy as all hell…I'm planning on making a rolling tool cabinet about 90" long…so i'm either doing 3 of the tall ones side by side in a metal frame with heavy casters similar to stevoo's. or doing two of the 45" wide ones side by side and double stacked on top of each other…i'm going to rearrange the drawers to have more of the thinner drawers up top...
