Working on some DIY doggie gates and having trouble finding a hinge that will do what I want. Basically it needs 180* of swing, but I want it to self close at 90*. I've gotten really close on McMasterCarr but still can't find what I need. Basically need to hang a 35wx32h door in a doorway, have it swing both directions, and self close to close off the doorway. Locking in that position is not important as my dogs won't test it as long as it's there.

I know this isn't exactly within the scope of general garage discussion, but if I put it in my shop would that count? I thought there used to be a general projects or chit forum on here but didn't find it.

Thanks!

That is the kind of hinge that many restaurants have between the dining room and kitchen. It allows wait staff to go in both directions by pushing on the door.

I was going to say, growing up we had a 'bar door' type between kitchen and dining.

Until my brother was chasing me one day, I slammed the shutter door on him and he splintered it.....
