A while ago I found a site where they were using this awesome flush-mount latch in one of their products. I did some looking and found the latch on the latch manufacturer's site, and I could have sworn that I bookmarked it. Well, apparently I didn't.
So today I went back to this website (with the product) and that site is no longer there. Thanks to Google, I was able to get some small images showing the latch in action. You can see them attached below.
Essentially, it's a semi-flush or flush-mounted handle. When down (closed) a lock rod protrudes out horizontally. When the handle is lifted, the rod retracts back under the handle.
It is similar in operation to the Aerocatch hood latches:

I know how handy and proficient you guys are with hardware, fasteners, etc. so I hope one of you can help me out. I'm going to keep looking and if I find it, I'll post up for the benefit of all.
